A Victorian mine manager's residence, just 30 minutes from Cardiff. This country house has been lovingly restored to it's former glory, offering wonderful views and countryside with easy access to the M4. A tranquil country retreat for tourist or business people searching for a guest house with that something extra.
Ynysybwl lies in the valley of the Clydach river. "How green was my valley" has now come full circle for the Welsh valleys, including "The Bwl" - once the throbbing artery of the Lady Windsor Colliery. The mine was part of the history of the Plymouth family's estates along with St Fagan's which is now the wonderful Welsh Folk Museum. Ynysybwl is once more a rural retreat, but close to the coast and the many attractions of Wales' capital city, Cardiff, and the exciting Cardiff Bay Development.
The décor has retained many original features blending happily with modern facilities. The endless miles of hills & forestry welcome walker, biker and all country lovers who enjoy spectacular scenery. With the promotion of outdoor pursuits very much In evidence, the area holds a wealth of attractions for all tastes.
